etc. Magazine is a new independent magazine dedicated to showcasing emerging art from the Baltics to the Balkans.
The magazine brings together artists, curators, writers and publishers working in the field of contemporary art. Each issue focuses on a different social/environmental/political issue and is built as a platform for diverse voices and opinions from across Europe. Today more than ever it is necessary to start a dialogue and start open conversations. By building a network of young critical minds from completely different backgrounds, ETC. it aims to do just that.
Inside we find: interviews with an artist, curator or intellectual who present their point of view on the chosen topic; a studio visit that focuses on a select artist whose practice is heavily informed by the theme of each edition; an opinion section that invites people from different fields to reflect on the chosen theme; a section dedicated to the presentation of current production in the field of art publishing. The most complete section, Portfolio Showcase, presents selected works and projects in detail.

ISSUE 1 -  Significantly local
The first ETC number. Magazine presents environmentally conscious artistic practices as a starting point of artistic expression. Practices that look at the local as opposed to the global, while remaining open to the possibility that such opposition may no longer be relevant or even impossible.
It collects contributions from artists and curators from Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Switzerland, Croatia, Germany, Italy, Moldova, Belarus and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
